Melvin "Bucky"  Garrison (1946-1971)

Memorial Cake Memorial
Melvin “Bucky” Garrison was born on 2-18-46 and became an Oklahoma Game Ranger in 1971. He was assigned to Okmulgee County. He left home on 12-27-1971 to work duck hunters. When he didn’t come home, his wife contacted District Chief Elmer Cathron. Several other Rangers arrived and began searching for Bucky. His truck was soon found and a short time later Garrison’s body was located in three feet of water. His coat was bunched up around his neck in a peculiar manner leading his fellow Rangers to believe he was drowned. Like Estes, Garrison’s murder was never solved. Several leads were investigated but no arrest ever came about.
