Oklahoma State Game Warden Association

For over 100 Years, Oklahoma Game Wardens have exemplified passion, dedication, and commitment to protecting the natural resources of Oklahoma. As the state’s first fully commissioned State Peace Officers, Oklahoma Game Wardens not only enforce fishing, hunting, and water safety laws; they also apprehend dangerous criminals and provide valuable public safety to the people of Oklahoma. Game Wardens often lead in serving the law enforcement role in the most rural places in Oklahoma. Oklahoma Game Wardens are responsible for enforcement of the Fish and Wildlife statues, ODWC commissioned regulations and all other state laws. Game Wardens fulfill these responsibilities by educating the public about various laws and regulations, preventing violations by conducting high visibility patrols, and apprehending and arresting violators. The Law Enforcement Division employs approximately 115 Game Wardens throughout the state. Oklahoma Game Wardens operate a fleet of over 150 patrol vehicles, compliance and rescue vessels. Furthermore, Oklahoma Game Wardens engage with and educate the public through extensive outreach programs. Oklahoma Game Wardens continue to serve the citizens of our great state and the Oklahoma State Game Warden Association is proud to support our communities and the men and women who are Oklahoma Game Wardens.
